Entry requirements
- Working knowledge of functional anatomy
- At least 30 hours of Pilates classes or workouts

Course curriculum
What you will learn
- Apply the STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles to Reformer exercise
- Teach Essential, Intermediate and Power Reformer workouts
- Understand exercise essence, muscular initiation and movement patterns
- Develop postural analysis, observation, cueing and client-motivation skills
- Learn 139 exercises plus modifications for different bodies and conditions
- Use resistance equipment, exercise layering and effective programme design
- Create Reformer programmes for personal training and group classes
Certification requirements
How certification works
The 50-hour course is the first part of the certification requirements. Students must then complete 75 additional hours outside the scheduled course, followed by written and practical examinations.

After completing the course and all required outside hours, students must successfully complete both written and practical examinations. Examination fees are not included in tuition.
50 course hours + 75 outside hours = 125 required hours before examinations.

Karyn is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor with qualifications across Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels, Injuries & Special Populations, Anatomy, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Bone Health. Her additional expertise includes post-rehabilitation conditioning.

Course questions
Who can join STOTT PILATES® instructor training?
The courses are designed for people who want to deepen their Pilates knowledge, begin teaching, or continue developing professionally. KMK will help you understand the appropriate starting point for your experience.
What will I learn during the courses?
Training combines Pilates principles, anatomy, biomechanics, exercise repertoire, observation, cueing, corrections, programming, and practical work on the relevant Merrithew® equipment.
Which courses are available at KMK?
Our planned pathways include Intensive Reformer (IR), Intensive Mat-Plus (IMP), Intensive Cadillac, Chair & Barrels (ICCB), and Injuries & Special Populations (ISP). Availability depends on each announced intake.
Are the courses practical or theory-based?
Both. The learning experience brings together structured theory, demonstrations, hands-on practice, teaching observation, and guidance for applying the method safely with different clients.
Is early-bird pricing available?
Yes. Receive 10% off the course fee when payment is made in full before 12 November 2026. After the deadline, the full course fee applies.
What is required for Intensive Reformer certification?
The pathway totals 125 hours: 50 hours of in-class instruction and supervised teaching, 10 hours of observation, 40 hours of physical review, and 25 hours of practice teaching. Successful written and practical examinations are also required.
What language is the December 2026 course taught in?
Training is conducted in English with Khmer instructor support. Course manuals and online digital videos are in English.

KMK publishes each pathway and intake separately, so you can ask about the course that best matches your goals and plan your continuing education step by step.
